About
The 18-hour Literacy Education Certificate partially fulfills the 24-hour requirement for the add-on Reading (K–6) license for North Carolina and may be used toward the fulfillment of the 39-hour requirement for the Master of Arts degree in Literacy Education. It may be used as elective hours for other MA programs, such as Special Education, Elementary Education and Middle Grades Education. The 18-hour certificate does not lead to NC licensure by itself.
